Added Values
of the FCH-Tutorial

Find out more about what the FCH-Tutorial will provide
who is addressed, what materials are provided, as well as
how many ECTS credits you will get on your
final Participation Certificate.

The FCH-Tutorial will provide a basic understanding of technical, chemical and physical principles that make fuel cells work simply, reliably and affordably. Fuel cell, electrolyser and H2-processing application requirements and practical examples of current developments will be discussed. Fuel cells & electrolysers will be treated as an interdisciplinary matter involving electrochemistry as well as materials science and process engineering. This year the focus will be on all types of fuel cells.

The FCH-Tutorial addresses newcomers, as well as those who have been working in the area of fuel cells and/or hydrogen for some time. Participants will gain a basic understanding of fuel cell technology or add expert know-how and practical experience to already existing understanding and knowledge. Moreover, fuel cells will be discussed in view of potential applications, the fuels required, and the market introduction issues related to that. The Tutorial will be held in English, making it a useful introduction for newcomers to the global world of fuel cells.

The FCH-Tutorial will provide an excellent kick-start to the coming EFCF, a week of exposure to the latest developments in fuel cells, electrolysers and H2-processing. During the Tutorial you will receive answers to questions before you have to ask them, as well as the chance to ask questions you may not dare to voice in front of a general audience. Opportunity for discussion is provided.

Each participant will receive complete documentation of the Tutorial lectures, with many useful illustrations, tables and graphs.

Participation in the FCH-Tutorial, including the correct  answering of the final test questionnaire, will give 0.5 ECTS credits. The credits are confirmed on the final Participation Certificate .
